5/17/21: Letter from Superintendent Kishimoto For the 2021-22 school year scheduled to begin on August 3, all HIDOE schools will be fully open for in-person learning.
5/3/21: DOE Notification Letter Multiple COVID-19 cases have been confirmed at schools on ʻOahu & Maui following Mainland travel. The attached letter has been sent just a precaution for families on all islands who may have participated in the mentioned events.

SBA Testing: April 5 - May 14 Every year, students in grades 3, 4, 5 & 6 take the Statewide Smarter Balanced Assessment in English Language Arts and Math. Students are given one opportunity to take these assessments. *Please see the calendar for testing schedules.
2/26/21: Grab & Go Meal Program Update We have increased our serving times to accommodate our in-school students, off-campus learners and keiki from our community.
Transition to In-Person Learning Due to the significant decrease in positive COVID cases on Hawai‘i Island, we have begun to trend into the light green model - the start of blended learning. Following our school metrics and model, we will be transitioning students to their blended learning schedules in March. We have adjusted our plans from the letter sent out on February 4, 2021. Each teacher will inform their students of their assigned group and schedules.
Student Learning Options As we are currently trending in the yellow color model, we are pleased to announce that we are preparing to welcome students in grades 1-6 back to campus beginning, Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
